Japanese Tea Grown on Our Family Farm in Ujitawara, Kyoto
We offer wholesale matcha and Japanese green tea grown exclusively in our own tea fields in Ujitawara, Kyoto.
Our family has lived with this land since 1468 and has been growing tea for over a century. Today, we grow our tea without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, carefully tending each field throughout the year.
Once a Year, in Spring
We harvest only once a year, during the first spring harvest.
Rather than producing second or autumn harvests to increase volume, we have chosen to focus on the tea we truly want to grow and share.
Our production is naturally limited, but this allows us to remain closely involved with every field and every tea we offer.
From Our Own Fields
Every tea we offer comes from our own farm.
We do not purchase tea from other producers for resale. Knowing where each tea was grown, how it was cultivated, and how it changes from year to year is an important part of our tea making.
Our matcha is produced as single-cultivar tea, allowing the individual character of each variety to remain distinct.
Depending on availability, our matcha cultivars include Gokou, Samidori, Okumidori and Yabukita.
For Partners Around the World
Our teas are supplied to cafés, tea shops, bakeries and other businesses around the world.
As a small family farm producing only the first spring harvest, the quantities we can offer are limited.
We especially value relationships with partners who wish to share not only the quality and flavor of our tea, but also where and how it was grown.
We are happy to provide information about our farm, cultivation methods and individual teas so that our partners can introduce them accurately and thoughtfully to their own customers.
