Private Organic Tea Farm Tour

Private Tea Farm Experience — One Group Only
Discover a private tea experience at an organic tea farm in Ujitawara, Kyoto — the birthplace of Japanese green tea.

Welcome to our family-run tea farm in Ujitawara, Kyoto, where our family has been growing tea for over a century.

Each day, we welcome only one private group, from solo travelers and couples to families and friends of up to four guests. During your visit, there are no other guests, allowing you to spend time at the farm quietly and at your own pace.

Surrounded by tea fields and nature, you will spend time with us in the place where our tea is grown. Rather than simply tasting Japanese green tea, we hope your visit offers a deeper understanding of the land, the seasons, and the people behind each cup.

We look forward to welcoming you to Ujitawara for a quiet and memorable time at our family tea farm.

Guided Farm Tour
Walk through our tea fields and see where our tea is grown. Along the way, we share how we care for the fields, how the seasons shape the leaves, and the character of each field.

Learn how the surrounding environment, seasonal changes, and organic farming shape the tea grown in our fields. We also share how fresh tea leaves are transformed into the teas you enjoy in your cup.

As you walk through the farm, you can see how each field has its own character and how closely tea growing is connected to the seasons and the landscape.

Tea Picking & Tea Leaf Tempura

During the harvest season, you may have the opportunity to pick fresh tea leaves by hand and enjoy freshly made tea leaf tempura.
It is a simple way to experience the taste and texture of young tea leaves straight from the field.
*Tea picking is available depending on the season, weather, and farming conditions.

Nodate
On fine days, we enjoy tea outdoors overlooking the fields. It is a quiet pause surrounded by the landscape where the tea was grown.

*Nodate is available depending on the weather.

Tea Tasting

Taste several teas grown on our farm and discover how cultivar, field, and preparation shape their aroma and flavor.

Even teas grown from the same cultivar can show different character depending on the field and growing conditions. Through tasting, you can experience these subtle differences for yourself.

Brewing Demonstration
